Dr. Held is a Senior Principal Research Scientist in CSIRO’s Astronomy and Space Science Research Unit, and an Associate Professor at the Australian National University. He has a PhD from the University of California – Davis and currently leads the ‘AquaWatch Australia’ program. Alex is Australia’s principal at the international Committee on Earth Observation Satellites (CEOS), and received the COSPAR Massey Award in 2022.
