Tasuku Tabata began his career at a local meteorological office of the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). He then joined the Meteorological Satellite Center, where he has been involved in calibration and validation activities for Himawari-8/-9, as well as DBNet activities for the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). During this time, he spent a year at EUMETSAT as a visiting scientist, collaborating on the recalibration of historical geostationary meteorological satellite data. Currently, he is at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) as part of a cooperative framework between JMA and JAXA, working on the development of GOSAT-GW and AMSR3.
