Ticket Terms and Conditions

The following booking terms and conditions together with all information relating to the 40th edition of the International Symposium on Remote Sensing of Environment conference (the “Conference”) including the booking form, brochure and website form the basis of the contract between the Farnborough International Limited (“FIL”, “we” or “us”) and you, the person or organisation making the booking. It is important that you know that the contract is with you and not any other person or organisation you book tickets for. You will be responsible to FIL for the behaviour of and proper performance of these Booking Conditions by the persons attending the Conference (“Delegate(s)”).

Bookings

1.1 To make a booking you must complete FIL’s booking form. The booking form must be signed by the person named on the form or by a person authorised to sign on behalf of the organisation named on the form. Signing of the booking form confirms your agreement to these terms and conditions. Once we have received your booking form and payment we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by sending a confirmation to the person at the email address stated on the form.

1.2 We reserve the right to refuse a booking without giving a reason.

1.3 Conference tickets are non-transferable.

Payment

2.1 FIL will require full payment at the time of booking. Only when the payment is received is the booking confirmed. FIL is unable to produce separate accounts for individual delegates.

2.2 Payment is non-refundable.

Insurance and Liability

3.1 You must arrange and maintain adequate insurance in respect of your obligations under this contract, including the payments due on cancellation by you. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover you purchase is adequate for your needs.

3.2 You should ensure that delegates are aware of the terms set out in clause 12 and take out their own insurance cover as necessary. If you or any delegate in your party cause any loss, damage or injury to any person or to property you will compensate FIL for any loss, claim or liability it suffers as a result.

Your Contract

4.1 No binding contract shall come into existence until your booking has been accepted by FIL, the payment set out in clause 2 has been received and FIL has despatched the Confirmation to you. This contract shall be governed by and construed in all respects in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the parties agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

During the Conference

5.1 You must book your accommodation separately.

Conduct

5.2 Delegates are required to observe and comply with FIL’s regulations applicable when on FIL’s premises and with the reasonable instructions of FIL’s security and other staff. The regulations are made for the safety and comfort of all delegates as well as for the good management and operation of FIL’s activities. FIL reserves the right to exclude any delegate (without compensation) if, in its reasonable view, the delegate’s behaviour or presence is disruptive to the proper functioning of the Conference, to other guests or FIL staff or members of the public or if the delegate breaches any of the terms relating to Conduct set out in these Conditions.

No Trading

5.3 Bookings are accepted on the basis that no trading will take place on FIL’s premises without prior agreement in writing from the Conference and Events team.

Food and Drink

5.4 FIL calculates the Conference charges on the basis that it will provide food and drinks for the Delegate(s) on the days they are attending the Conference. Neither you nor any delegate may bring food and drink onto FIL’s premises except with our agreement. We may charge corkage on drinks brought in with our agreement.

Changes by you

6.1 Should you wish to make any changes, other than a cancellation (cancellations are dealt with under clauses 7 and 8) to your confirmed booking, you must first inform FIL verbally and then confirm the proposed changes in writing within seven days of that verbal notification.

6.2 Although FIL has no obligation to accept your request to amend the terms of your booking, we will try to accommodate reasonable requests and where changes are accepted we will notify you in writing.

Cancellation by you

7.1 Tickets are non-refundable.

Changes or cancellation by us

8.1 We reserve the right to provide facilities different to those detailed in the Confirmation and will use our best endeavours to ensure that any facilities provided are equivalent or similar to those detailed in the Confirmation.

8.2 We reserve the right to move the Conference from the facilities detailed in the Confirmation to alternative facilities in the event that we reasonably consider are more suitable for the Conference.

8.3 FIL shall be entitled to cancel the Conference and will notify you of such cancellation in writing if the Conference might in the reasonable opinion of FIL prejudice the reputation of FIL or if the purpose for which the facilities are required or used differs from that set out in the booking form.

8.4 FIL shall also be entitled to cancel the Conference and will notify you of such cancellation in writing if any part of the facilities is closed or otherwise unavailable because of events outside the control of FIL, and, if we cancel for this reason we will make reasonable efforts to assist you to find an alternative venue with similar facilities and return any deposit or advance payments to you within seven days of the date on which we notify you of the cancellation. We will have no other liability to you in these circumstances.

8.5 In all other circumstances FIL will incur no liability for any failure to fulfil any contractual obligation if it is prevented from doing so by any cause beyond its reasonable control.

Special request and requirements

9.1 If any delegate has any special request or a physical condition requiring specific arrangements, you must advise us at least 28 days before the event. Although we will endeavour to meet any reasonable requests, we regret that we cannot promise that any request will be met unless we have specifically confirmed this in writing.

9.2 Confirmation that a special request has been noted or the inclusion of your request on the Confirmation or any other documentation is not confirmation that the request will be met. Unless and until specifically agreed by FIL, all special requests are subject to availability.

9.3 We regret that we cannot accept any conditional bookings, i.e. any booking which is specified to be conditional on the fulfilment of a particular request. All such bookings will be treated as ‘standard’ bookings subject to the above provisions on special requests.

FIL’s Intellectual Property

10.1 Unless you have our written permission, you may not use: – the name ‘Farnborough International Limited’ – the FIL’s logo – the name or logo of any of the FIL’s departments or Centres; or any photographs of FIL’s premises or facilities.

10.2 In addition you may not imply that you or the Conference has any connection with FIL except as a venue for the Conference.

Brochure Accuracy

11.1 Please note that the information and prices shown in the current applicable brochure and other documentation may have changed by the time you book ticket. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the brochure and prices at the time of going to print, regrettably errors do occasionally occur. You must therefore ensure that you check all details (including the price) with us at the time of booking.

All other express or implied terms, conditions or warranties (whether statutory or otherwise) are hereby excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
