Dr. Ole Morten Olsen is an advocate for utilizing space data to tackle urgent global challenges such as climate change and environmental protection. He emphasizes not only the role of space technology in observation but also its potential as a tool for both adoption and mitigation strategies. He co-chaired the Global Space Conference on Climate Change (GLOC) in Oslo and oversees Earth observation programs at NOSA, including the agency’s support for the NICFI (Norway’s International Climate and Forest Initiative) program.
With 20 years of industry and research experience, Olsen joined NOSA in 2017. He holds a Dr. Scient degree from UiT The Arctic University of Norway
and a Master of Technology Management from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
