Professor Andy Tatem, is a professor of Spatial Demography and Epidemiology at the University of Southampton. He is directory of the WorldPop project, developing methods to improve the accuracy of population distribution maps and health metrics globally. Prof. Tatem’s interdisciplinary work utilizes GIS and remote sensing technologies to address global health issues, including malaria and COVID-19 tracking.
