Dr. Gary Watmough is an Associate Professor at the University of Edinburgh, specializing in Earth observation and geospatial analysis with a focus on environmental and social applications. He leads the Geospatial Livelihoods Group which conducts research exploring socio-economic disparities through satellite imagery and had worked extensively on using Earth Observation data to
predict/estimate poverty projects in developing countries across Africa, South Asia, and the middleeast often working with international NGOs such as UNICEF, UN FAO, Save the Children.
